Subscription, Renewal & Refund Policy

This policy governs billing, automatic renewal, cancellation, and refunds for paid plans on metyping.com ("Pro"). It supplements our Terms of Service.
1. Billing
Paid plans are billed in advance at the start of each billing cycle. We currently offer:
- Monthly plan — billed every 30 days at the monthly rate
- Annual plan — billed once per year at the annual rate, which is discounted compared to 12 months of monthly billing
- Founder Lifetime — a one-time payment that provides permanent Pro access with no future charges
All prices are listed in USD. Your payment provider may apply currency conversion fees.
2. Automatic Renewal
Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. By subscribing, you authorize us (or our payment processor) to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
We will send a reminder email before your annual subscription renews. You will not receive a separate reminder before monthly renewals, but you can view your next billing date in your account settings at any time.
3. Free Trials
If we offer a free trial period, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan at the end of the trial unless you cancel before the trial expires. You will not be charged during the trial period. We will remind you before the trial ends if we have your email address on file.
4. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time by:
- Visiting your Account Settings and selecting "Cancel Subscription"
- Emailing contact@tediouslab.com with your account email and cancellation request
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to Pro features until that date. We do not prorate or refund partial billing periods upon cancellation, except as described below.
5. Refunds
Monthly plans: No refunds are provided after a monthly billing cycle has commenced. You may cancel to stop future charges.
Annual plans: If you purchased an annual plan and request a refund within 14 days of your initial purchase, we will issue a full refund to your original payment method. After 14 days, annual plans are non-refundable.
Founder Lifetime: Lifetime purchases are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
Purchases via app stores: If you purchased through a third-party app store (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play), refunds are governed by that store's policies. Contact the relevant store for refund requests.
We reserve the right to issue refunds at our discretion in exceptional circumstances, such as extended Service outages caused by us.
6. Price Changes
We may change the pricing for Pro plans from time to time. We will provide advance notice of any price increase by email and/or in-app notification at least 30 days before the change takes effect. New prices take effect at your next renewal after the change. If you do not agree to a price change, you may cancel before the renewal date at no additional charge.
Launch promotional pricing (e.g., first-year discounts) is locked in for the promotional period stated at the time of purchase. After the promotional period ends, standard pricing applies at renewal.
7. Failed Payments
If your payment fails, we will attempt to notify you by email and may retry the charge. If payment remains unsuccessful after a reasonable number of attempts, your subscription may be downgraded to the Free plan. You will not lose your historical data, but Pro features will become inaccessible until a successful payment is made.
8. Disputes
If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us at contact@tediouslab.com within 30 days of the disputed charge. We will investigate and, if appropriate, issue a correction. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may result in suspension of your account pending resolution.
